I am the Chief Information Security Officer for a Technology Consulting firm in Chicago and teach part time as an Adjunct Professor at the Illinois Institute of Technology.  I am responsible for providing security and compliance leadership at our organization and to our clients that include areas such as vendor management, disaster recovery, business continuity, data protection, security products, budgeting, legal and risk management. I have over 25 years of experience in security and technology and have extensive compliance related expertise in banking, healthcare and manufacturing. In the past, I have worked with medical centers, commercial banks, hedge funds, brokerage firms and manufacturers.

I've been interested in education for most of my life and have explored the many facets of the educational process from my work as a professional information security practitioner to my hobbies of flying aircraft and ham radio.

My tenure at IIT started in 2015 when I was asked to teach ITMS 588 - Disaster Recovery, Business Continuity and Incident Response.  This subject matter is a love of mine and am currently writing the text book to supplement this class.  I have also taught IT Project Management as well as  Management for  IT professionals.
